Amid the past weeks' protests and chaos, George Floyd's brother called for PEACE...yes, he did !...just WOW...
and BTW...UPDATE: All 4 police officers have been arrested AND charged, etc...Shouldn't all this "good" news pacify the protests / riots, so then now what?
#BlackLivesMatter while ALSO #ALLLivesMatter as well & #EVERYCASECOUNTS so...
Let's #KEEPCURFEW & #STAYHOME (unless "Essential"), where anyone can still #PROTESTONLINE , #VOTEONLINE, & #CAMPAIGNONLINE .

Let's hope that other states follow California's (and New York's among maybe a few others) lead...YES!! Re-opening actually means placing even more importance on and diligence in wearing face masks than before (obviously, which were not largely required during stay-at-home orders because mostly everyone was stuck at home!) Practically speaking, how people regionally "fight" the pandemic will ultimately determine how the rest of the country (and thus the world) will do and follow. 10% compliance is WAY better than "almost none at all" compliance, 80% compliance is STILL better than some compliance, and almost complete compliance is EVEN better than 70% compliance...It's all about being BETTER and BETTER than we were before (sound familiar??). Worst thing to do in a pandemic is to "give in" to other's apathy (not to mention doomsday mentality) or ignorance of public health consequences...LET'S KEEP IT UP! You can do YOUR vital part by ALSO notifying the relevant business managers if you see someone not complying, or else otherwise reporting that non-compliance to your local public health authorities!

So proud of my classical musician friends on Facebook (you know who you are - BRAVISSIMO!) for stepping up to the plate and "answering the call" (by whoever/whatever prompted you) to mobilize others in their circle/networks (through posts) to wear face masks (Goal : widespread compliance across the country and even beyond). BTW, as a result of such and other public health measures, New York is now in a UNIQUE position with Covid (lowest positivity rate in nation) that they actually require a 14-day quarantine of all travelers from many other states! This is an INCREDIBLE 180 degree turnaround from just a few months ago (when some states required the same from New York)!
As for you others, if not already, JOIN the fast-growing quaranteam of voluntary "social media influencers" and public health advocates in the LATEST online messaging campaign to defeat Covid, one community at a time. Only with these proper protocols and an assertive collective stance to support them, the art of classical music, as we've known it, has a MUCH better chance ultimately to last for a longer time.
